# Terms of use

This is a translation for convenience. The Portuguese version is the reference text.

## The service

Cerveja Barata is a free website that shows beer prices in bars, botecos and beach shacks and works out the price per litre. We don't sell drinks or take orders.

## Prices change

Prices come from menus, public sources and the community. We show when each one was verified and do our best to keep them right, but the price that counts is the one at the bar: check it there. See how we work in our [methodology](https://cervejabarata.com.br/en/methodology).

## Adults only

The content is for people aged 18 or over. Drink responsibly, and don't drink and drive.

## What you send

- Only send true prices and details that you saw yourself or in a public source.
- Don't send spam, insults, illegal content or other people's personal data.
- Every submission is moderated. We may adjust the format or wording, decline or remove anything at any time.
- By sending, you allow Cerveja Barata to publish the content and to distribute it as open data, free of charge, non-exclusively and without time limit. If you give a nickname, it may appear as a credit.

## Sponsorship

Sponsored spots always carry a sponsored label and never change the order of prices.

## Open data and API

- Price and venue data are open under the ODbL licence: credit “Cerveja Barata (cervejabarata.com.br)” and share derived databases under the same licence.
- Map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors.
- The API and the MCP server are for reasonable use, with request limits. We may block abusive use.

## Bars and venues

If you represent a bar, you can ask us to correct or remove details about it by writing to [bares@cervejabarata.com.br](mailto:bares@cervejabarata.com.br).

## Liability

We provide the site as it is, with no guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the prices shown.

## Changes and governing law
