Buckets, combos, two-for-one and towers

When one price buys more than one serving, count them all: the total volume is what goes into the sum.

  • Bucket (balde): five 355 ml long necks for R$ 45 add up to 1,775 ml, or R$ 25,35/L.
  • Combo: three 350 ml cans for R$ 15 add up to 1,050 ml, or R$ 14,29/L.
  • Two-for-one (em dobro): two 300 ml chopps for the price of one, R$ 8, add up to 600 ml, or R$ 13,33/L.
  • Beer tower (torre): 2.5 L for R$ 60, or R$ 24,00/L.

A cheaper litre is no reason to drink more: the sum only shows what each litre costs.

Why compare by the litre

Cans, long necks, bottles and draught come in different sizes, so the price on the menu doesn't say which beer gives more for the money.

A 269 ml can for R$ 5 looks cheaper than a 350 ml can for R$ 6, but its litre costs more: R$ 18,59/L against R$ 17,14/L.

That's why every list on this site ranks prices by the litre, cheapest first, always with the real price and size next to it.
