Salvador's carnival takes over the city for almost a week, with blocos and trios elétricos on three official circuits: Dodô, between Barra and Ondina; Osmar, from Campo Grande to the Centro; and Batatinha, in the Pelourinho. Each year's programme comes out on the City Council's official website.
